After months of speculations there is a strong evidence what exactly will be the HTC One M9 name. Today there are two big assumptions. The first one is that HTC will stick to the tradition and called its next flagship One M9. And the second one is for ditching the “One” brand and get a new one. The dubbed name was Hima, which was an internal project name for the smartphone.
The latest leaks revealed that the Taiwanese producer may stick to the HTC One M9 name. It was found in the HTML code of the company’s own site. In the code next to “product-title”, is “HTC One M9”. This indicates that the company is plausibly stick to the One M’s family rather than switching to a new brand.
HTC is already scheduled an event on 1st of March in Barcelona, day before the official opening of the MWC. Last year in the Mobile World Congress HTC had minor presence, but this year it plans something more big. And as the leaked advertising materials for the new smartphone before CES suggested that the Taiwanese company is reading its new flagship for the market.
Still there is a slim chance that HTC One M9 name may not be this one, and the company may choose another. But it is a very slim possibility. It is very plausible that the company prepares for the smartphone debut and this is the reason, why we found HTC One M9 name in the HTML code.
Also in the promotional materials obtain to the moment, the company has set the slogan “One Life”. It clearly refers to the One brand rather than a new one. Like Hima for example.
Plausibility for HTC One M9 name – 85%
